Social Impact

It is our mission to reduce the number of homeless pets in shelters by developing and donating to high-impact, “outside-the-box” initiatives that have the potential to increase adoption rates and/or reduce intake rates at shelters.

Ten percent (10%) of all profits generated by Urban Paw are dedicated to this

Volunteer Initiatives:

The Urban Paw team can be seen out and about volunteering with local rescue groups and shelters. Our staff commits to volunteering our time as a group at least once a month. If you have a group in need of volunteers in the LA area, please email us!

We are currently working with Best Friends Animal Society (BFAS) to develop creative initiatives toward our mission. Best Friends Animal Society is a national animal welfare organization focused on ending the killing of dogs and cats in America's shelters. An authority and leader in the no-kill movement, Best Friends runs the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals, as well as lifesaving programs in partnership with rescue groups and shelters across the country. Since its founding in 1984, Best Friends has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters nationwide from 17 million per year to about 4 million. Best Friends has the knowledge, technical expertise and on-the-ground network to end the killing and Save Them All®
